Cobalt carbonate (CoCO₃), a key precursor in battery materials, catalysts, and ceramics, requires specialized equipment for processing and drying. Below is an overview of typical equipment used in its production and drying stages:

Equipment for drying Cobalt carbonate such as flash dryers, microwave dryers, Paddle Dryer, etc.

flash dryers:The hot air enters the bottom of the dryer tangentially, and forms a strong rotating wind field driven by the agitator. Paste materials enter the dryer from the spiral feeder. Under the strong action of the high-speed rotating agitator, the materials are dispersed by impact, friction and shear force. The block materials are quickly crushed, fully contacted with the hot air, heated and dried. The dehydrated dry materials rise with the hot air flow, and the classification ring intercepts the large particles. The small particles are discharged from the center of the ring and recovered by the cyclone separator and dust collector. The undried or large pieces of materials are thrown to the wall of the device by the centrifugal force and fall to the bottom again to be crushed and dried.

Microwave drying:Microwave drying of cobalt carbonate has the following characteristics: because microwaves can penetrate the material and heat it directly, the polar molecules in the material oscillate and rub at high speed under the action of the microwave field to generate heat, which heats and dries quickly and improves efficiency.

Paddle dryer :Paddle dryer is a kind of horizontal stirring type continuous drying equipment which is mainly used for heat conduction. Because the stirring blade is shaped like an oar, it is called paddle dryer.
